Booking & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: [Insert date]

Confirming your booking

A session is only confirmed once we've received your signed booking agreement and deposit (typically [Insert amount/percentage, e.g. 30%] of the total session fee). Your date is not held until this is received.

Final payment

The remaining balance is due [Insert timing, e.g. 7 days before your session / on the day of your session], unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellations by the client

  • Cancellations made more than [Insert number, e.g. 14] days before the session: deposit is [non-refundable / partially refundable — specify].
  • Cancellations made within [Insert number, e.g. 14] days of the session: full session fee may be forfeited, as time and resources have already been allocated.
  • We understand proposals are highly personal and time-sensitive — genuine emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Rescheduling

We understand plans change (especially for surprise proposals!). You may reschedule your session once at no additional charge if you notify us at least [Insert number, e.g. 48–72 hours] in advance, subject to availability. Further reschedules may incur a fee of [Insert amount].

Weather and unforeseen circumstances

For outdoor sessions, we monitor weather conditions closely. If conditions on the day are unsafe or unsuitable for shooting, we will contact you as early as possible to reschedule at no additional cost. Where the shoot proceeds and the client chooses to cancel due to weather they consider unsuitable, standard cancellation terms apply.

Cancellations by us

In the rare event we need to cancel (illness, emergency, equipment failure), we will make every effort to arrange a replacement photographer of comparable standard or offer a full refund/reschedule, at your choice.

Lateness and no-shows

If you're running late, please contact us as soon as possible. Sessions may be shortened to accommodate other bookings, and no-shows without notice will forfeit the deposit.
